Frank Zappa's 200 Motels [c. 1971/United Artists], slightly re-edited by yours truly.

The intention is to put the cartoon segment where it belongs: before the finale. Other scenes have been reordered to accommodate this change.

documentaries made during the filmΓÇÖs production, audio from the soundtrack album,
audio from a rare 1975 bootleg, and audio from said VPRO documentaries.

Everything has been sped-up or down to it's original performance speed!
US Theatrical WIdescreen Standard of 1.85:1 used.

If there's a way I can get ahold of the new transfer I bought on Amazon Instant Video without the use of screengrabs, I'll redo this immediately! Having a consistent frame-rate is something I can only dream of at this stage, lol!



Included bonus for the disc are: Frank Zappa Filmt 200 Motels (1971/VPRO/1.33:1), Martin Lickert Interview (1993/BBC1/1.33:1),Zappa on "What's My Line?" (1971/CBS/1.33:1), The Turtles Perform "Happy Together" (1967/CBS/1.78:1) specially made menus, pseudo 5.1 surround AC-3 audio for most of the disc, a little intro at the beginning of the disc.

Enjoy folks! Let's hope the ZFT and/or MGM work together to get the film released with a decent matted transfer and crisp 70's film audio as it should be seen! THe version on Amazon Instant Video is only the first step!
